ELBOLIT®: Efficient disinfection for technical water cycles

KORN service professionals were among the first participants to attend seminars on VDI 2047-2 and have also received professional training in the collection of samples from our partner for Legionnaires’ disease analysis, TRIWALA GmbH. Since VDI 2047-2 came into effect, the method it describes has become the recognized state of the art for chiller operation and open cooling circuits that employ evaporative cooling. Operators of such systems are responsible for adhering to the state of the art to avoid potential hazards. That includes comprehensive risk analysis and risk assessment in addition to seamless documentation of the system’s mode of operation in the operating log. ELBOLIT® CL PLUS is a highly effective liquid disinfectant that generates a chlorine dioxide solution in situ. Thanks to its high concentration, even minimal dosing quantities are sufficient to produce enough chlorine dioxide to effectively treat technical water circuits. It has a strong germicidal effect, dissolves biofilms and prevents the formation of unpleasant odours.
