Case Study: Savings Potential

The practical example

KORN successfully converted a boiler from conventional phosphate/sulfite to sustainable DEMKOR for a well-known customer in the food industry and documented the results.

Thanks to the conversion of the boiler water treatment agent, numerous savings potentials could be realized.

Significant and lasting cost savings in terms of water and energy consumption, minimal desalting losses and higher thickening are the compelling arguments in favor of DEMKOR, the only ecological boiler water treatment agent that is made entirely from renewable raw materials.

Advantages at a glance

The advantages for the customer are:

  • The boiler can be operated with a significantly higher average concentration (58.3 instead of 8.8)
  • Much lower blowdown losses thanks to the virtually salt-free product
  • High savings on water, energy and costs
  • 100% ecological product made from renewable raw materials
