Certified training courses on the VDI 2047-2 guideline

Together with certified partners, KORN GmbH offers its customers training courses including examination and certification – as proof of successful participation in the training course in accordance with the VDI 2047-2 guideline (VDI cooling tower rule).

Operators of evaporative cooling systems are obliged to ensure the hygienic operation of evaporative cooling systems. To reliably prevent legionella, pseudomonads and mould, the requirements of the German Ordinance on Biological Substances (BioStoffV) and, when using biocides, the requirements of the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances (GefStoffV) must be meticulously observed.

The one-day training course is primarily aimed at system operators and manufacturers, operating personnel, facility managers and tradesmen for system maintenance and repair.

Training contents are:

• Operating principles of evaporative cooling systems
• Microbiological processes in cooling water
• Fundamentals of water chemistry and corrosion processes
• Use of biocides in accordance with the Biocide Ordinance
• Hazard analysis for safe operation
• Operator obligations for the prevention of legionella
